Hitchcock Michalski Relaunches Branded Fuel Forecourts and an Oil and Gas Company into the Nigerian Market.

We were tasked with evolving the corporate identity for Northwest Petroleum, a Nigerian Oil and Gas Company who specialise in the importation, trading, storage, and supply of petroleum products, currently expanding their global footprint and focusing on markets all over the world.

The logomark consists of 5 facets, each one representing a characteristic of their brand personality, namely: efficient, professional, integrous, honourable and relentless. Together they form a dynamic arrow symbolising the company’s positioning of ‘More Than You Expect’, We implemented the visual language into multiple platforms, ranging from stationery, corporate literature, advertising campaigns, oil and lubricant packaging, uniform & work wear, signage and environmental design – their impressive 27 pump forecourts. We also designed and built their website.

Signage and forecourts are predominantly Pantone Green 2258C, emphasising the psychology of balance and growth, along with establishing the corporate brand colour palette. The mix of greens creates a vibrant forecourt and combined withthe faceted physical construction, results in a fuel forecourt that is appealing to customers and unique in it’s design concept.

The website features a clean vertical and horizontal grid structure, with white used as a fresh contrast to the primary green. The simplistic grid and UI design, with well
laid out information makes for a user-friendly UX environment.
